Enrolments

OUR ENROLMENT PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at Greenmount Primary School.

Parent/carers applying to enrol a child in our School, should firstly complete the Application for Enrolment form. Please complete one form for each child.

The  Application for Enrolment form enables parents/carers to express an interest in seeking a placement in the school. The Application for Enrolment form does not guarantee enrolment. It just formally expresses a desire to seek a placement.

Early in Term 4, parents/carers will be invited to an Early Year’s Kindy conference. The conference will give you information about what to expect when your child attends our school with a focus on supporting your child with their literacy, numeracy and resiliency skills. It will also be an opportunity for you to meet other parents of Kindy students, and the Admin team.

Later in Term 4 we also have an orientation morning where parents and the enrolled child spend some time in Kindy, familiarising them with the Teaching staff and Kindergarten environment.

Managing Enrolments

There is a clear process in place that enables schools to manage enrolments in the event that the levels of enrolments outweigh the level of available accommodation within the school.  For your information, the following selection criteria is applied when prioritising applications for enrolment:

  1. A child who lives in the local-intake area of the school, who has a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the School
  2. A child who lives in the local-intake area of the school, who does not have a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the School
  3. A child who does not live in the local-intake area of the school, who has a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the School.
  4. A child who does not live in the local-intake area of the school, who does not have a sibling enrolled at the school for that year and who lives closest to the School.
